I grew up in Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean and truly one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is a magical place with magnificent historical sights, glorious scenery, wonderful food – and even a volcano. From ancient ruins to charming coastal towns, there is always something new to discover, and that sense of history and beauty shaped my outlook from a young age.
My passion for travel began at an early age. My father worked as a coach driver for a local tour company and, as a young boy, I would accompany him to Palermo or Catania airport to collect groups of tourists. I could feel the excitement of these travelers and their pleasure at being in Sicily, and I thought, one day, I want to make people feel the same way.
When I was young, we could not afford to go on many vacations, but I was always dreaming of taking a plane to some exotic location, to see unusual animals and learn more about local cultures. Those dreams stayed with me as I grew older and gradually turned into a real desire to explore the world and help others do the same.

Pietro's Travel Highlights

What Do You Love Most About Croatia?
What I love most about Croatia is its incredible diversity, all packed into such a small and beautiful country. The stunning Adriatic coastline, with its crystal-clear waters and charming islands, feels like paradise, especially if you love nature and the sea as much as I do.
The people are so warm and welcoming, making every visit feel special. And the food: where do I even begin? Fresh seafood, hearty local dishes, and incredible wines are a treat for the senses. I’ll never forget the meals I’ve enjoyed by the sea, paired with breathtaking views.

What is Your Favourite Hotel in Croatia?
My favorite hotel in Croatia is the Grand Park Hotel Rovinj. It perfectly blends luxury and comfort, offering stunning views of Rovinj’s old town and the Adriatic Sea. The design is modern yet warm, and the service is exceptional. The hotel’s location, right by the marina and close to Rovinj’s charming center, makes it an ideal base for exploring. Plus, the rooftop pool and world-class dining options add to the unforgettable experience. It’s a true gem.

What’s One Thing You Always Recommend Clients Try When Visiting Croatia?
One thing I always recommend to clients visiting Croatia that they might not expect is truffle hunting in Istria. It’s such a cool, off-the-beaten-path experience! I had the chance to do it myself, and it was incredible. You get to join local experts and their trained dogs on a truffle hunt through the beautiful Istrian forests. The excitement of finding these hidden gems is amazing, and afterward, you get to enjoy a meal with the freshest truffles—whether it’s truffle pasta or a simple truffle oil drizzle. It’s such a special and memorable way to experience Croatia’s rich culinary traditions!

Pietro's Top Tips
- Explore Beyond the Obvious
While Dubrovnik and Split are must-visit destinations, don’t overlook smaller gems like Rovinj,OpatijaorTrogir. The islands, such asBrac,Korčula, andVis, offer a more relaxed vibe and stunning natural beauty. For a truly unique experience, visit less-touristy spots like the Pelješac Peninsula or the Istrian countryside. - Time Your Visit Carefully
The summer months (July and August) are beautiful but can be crowded and expensive. If you prefer fewer crowds, you should visit Croatia in the shoulder seasons, May, June, mid-September, or early October. The weather is still warm, the Adriatic is perfect for swimming, and you’ll enjoy a more relaxed pace while exploring. - Get on the Water
Croatia’s coastline is best experienced from the sea. Whether it’s a boutiquecruiseor a private sailing trip, being on the water offers unparalleled views, access to secluded beaches, and a unique way to explore Croatia’s stunning coastline and islands.
