Is it safe to vacation in Croatia?
Croatia is a very safe for travellers to visit and tour around. According to the Global Peace Index Croatia is within the top 20 most peaceful countries in the world and experiences 4 times less serious crime than the US does. However, like other European destinations with large number of travelers we advise you take the necessary pre-cautions to secure your valuables from pickpockets and to only carry the essentials when you’re out and about.
How many days in Croatia is enough?
Whilst we are slightly biased and would say the longer the better, the ideal length of time is 7 to 10 days. A week in Croatia will allow you to explore a region like Dalmatia in relatively good detail ticking off most of the highlights. Whereas 10 days would allow you to spend more time in a region to see and do more or equally to explore further afield.
What is the best time of year to visit Croatia?
The ideal time to visit Croatia is in the summer months from June to end of September. It is during these months the sun is at its hottest registering average temperatures between 66°F and 86°F. These conditions are perfect for cruising along the Adriatic on one our Small Ship Cruises and for swimming in the blue waters around the Croatian islands.
Is Croatia expensive?
Like any travel destination how much you spend comes down to personal preference and budget. Croatia offers a wide variety of accommodation and restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. When comparing Croatia to nearby popular travel destinations Italy and Greece it tends to be more affordable.
Which part of Croatia is the best?
Each region of Croatia offers something unique, however Dalmatia tends to be the most visited region due to the popular cities of Dubrovnik and Split. It is also home to Croatia’s beautiful islands including Hvar, Vis, Brac and Korcula which have stunning beaches, family-run vineyards and vibrant histories.
