Sibenik

Your 7-night cruise starts by flying into Split International Airport, enjoying a warm welcome and a private transfer to Luka Sibenik, the town’s harbor. If you arrive early, you can be transferred from a local hotel. Either way, embarkation is from 2 pm on. You’ll be assisted by our crew at check-in, enjoy welcome snacks, and a quick tour of the vessel. Sibenik is a gateway to Krka National Park, where you’ll enjoy a walking tour to marvel at its beauty, from lush greenery to lakes, waterfalls, and the shimmering blue-green Krka River. Back on board this evening, you’ll enjoy our welcome dinner.

Look forward to your first swim stop, a memorable experience, leaping off the back of the vessel into the crystal-clear blue waters of a secluded bay. Your cruise will continue to Trogir’s Old Town, where you can tour the UNESCO-listed site with our local guide, admiring its magnificent, centuries-old buildings with Greek, Roman, and Venetian influences. Or, if you haven’t explored ancient Split, you can take a guided walking tour of its historic center, which includes Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace with access to the city by bus. The vast palace complex is renowned for hosting some of the best-preserved Roman architecture in the world.

Cruising on, travel to the furthest island from the Croatian mainland, Vis. Closed to the public while used as a military base from the 1950s until 1991, when Croatia won its independence, it’s managed to remain largely undeveloped by tourism, preserving its natural beauty and unique character. You’ll quickly understand why it’s known as “the Mediterranean as it once was,” with time on your own to explore everything from stunning beaches with emerald waters to museums, Roman ruins, Venetian architecture, and relics from the Croatian War of Independence. A wine and olive oil tasting presentation will also be hosted on the ship.

Hvar-500333

While Hvar is the ultimate destination, the ship sails early to allow guests to join an optional boat tour of Bisevo Island’s famous Blue Cave, known for its interior that’s illuminated in a blue glow when conditions are just right. If that occurs, the sun’s rays will enter through a crack in the roof, hitting the white limestone bottom to create the magic. (Please note that entry to the Blue Cave is subject to weather and sea conditions and therefore the entry fee of EUR30pp is payable on the day). Continuing toward Hvar, wind through the beautiful Pakleni islands with their pine forests, hidden coves, and crystal-clear turquoise bays for a swim stop. Reaching Hvar, visit a family winery and then cruise to Hvar Town’s harbor for a leisurely evening.

Guided tour of Korcula

Departing for Korcula, look forward to an afternoon and evening on the island with its postcard-perfect beaches, dense forest, and Korcula Town’s walled medieval historic center, often called a “mini-Dubrovnik.” After a swim stop, the ship will anchor just outside the Old Town so you can enjoy a walking tour of the narrow streets and alleyways, laid out in a fishbone pattern to help protect it from the elements. Your guide will provide expert insight as you marvel at the Venetian-influenced architecture, from 14th-century St. Mark’s Cathedral to Arneri Palace, before enjoying time on your own to explore and dine on the local fare.

From Korcula, continue to lush Mljet Island, visiting Mljet National Park. Anchoring a short stroll away, your cruise director will bring you to the park’s top attraction: two beautiful saltwater lakes ranging in shades from emerald to aquamarine. After returning to the ship, sail to Slano on the mainland to embark on a unique tour. Nearby is Mali Ston, a small fortified village world-famous for its oysters. A boat will bring you into the estuary to sample fresh oysters right out of the water with a squeeze of lemon and a glass of local wine. Back on board, enjoy the Captain’s Dinner this evening.

One of the cruise highlights will be enjoyed today as you near Dubrovnik, with the ship sailing right alongside the massive Old City walls, providing an outstanding photo op. After anchoring at Gruz harbor, you’ll enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic center that served as King’s Landing in the popular series “Game of Thrones.” It’s even more impressive in person with magnificent palaces, Europe’s oldest continuously active pharmacy dating to 1317, and the lovely Stradun, a pedestrianized thoroughfare with many shops and cafes housed in historic buildings. Explore at your leisure afterward – we suggest concluding with a celebratory sea-view dinner.
