Guided walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town
Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik

After the excited anticipation leading up to embarkation day, it’s finally arrived. You’ll be well taken care of, from your Dubrovnik Airport arrival (or your local hotel) to the seamless private transfer to the ship in Gruz harbor. The friendly crew will show you around (check-in from 2 pm onward), followed by the welcome reception and an Old City Dubrovnik walking tour with our local guide. If you’re like us, you’ll be in awe as Dubrovnik’s walled historic center is a trip back in time, with medieval architecture, including Gothic-Renaissance palaces. Explore more independently afterward – we also suggest sampling local fare, like Black Risotto.

The ship will depart Gruz harbor this morning, cruising alongside Dubrovnik’s towering stone walls for the ultimate photo op before sailing toward Slano on the Peljesac Peninsula. It’s just a short distance from Mali Ston, a small, walled village renowned for its mouthwatering shellfish, cultivated since the Roman era. Here you’ll enjoy a guided oyster and mussel experience by heading out into the estuary in a small boat. Discover how they’re harvested and why they’re so delicious firsthand, with a sample directly from the water. Once back on board the ship, you’ll have time to prepare for this evening’s Welcome dinner.
