Venice (Arrival with afternoon at your leisure)
The next chapter in your love story begins in the Italian city built on water. Upon your arrival to Venice Marco Polo Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver for transfer to your hotel. Take time to settle in and get refreshed before enjoying a preview on your own – there are few more romantic places than Venice. Stroll through the cobbled alleyways hand-in-hand, stealing kisses in hidden corners as you discover its delights – we recommend a romantic candlelit dinner this evening.
This morning you’ll follow our local guide for a private walking tour through the heart of the Floating city to visit landmarks like the world-famous Piazza San Marco which is home to St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace and the famous clock tower, Torre dell’Orologio. Marvel at the Bridge of Sighs and the stone arches of the Ponte di Rialto which has crossed the Grand Canal for over 400 years. End your day with a dreamy gondola ride, taking in the sights from the water.
Venice (Day of leisure to enjoy optional visit to artisan islands of Murano and Burano)
Today is all yours to enjoy as you wish but we suggest visiting the artisan islands of Murano and Burano which begins by sailing past San Giorgio Maggiore Island and St. Elena gardens. Your first stop is Murano, renowned for its long glass-blowing tradition. Observe how it’s created and purchase souvenirs before continuing to Burano with its colorful fishermen’s homes and network of canals, with lacemaking involving highly elaborate, delicate needle designs a way of life here since the 17th-century.
Rovinj (Transfer to Rovinj with a stop in Trieste en-route)
Your private driver/guide will bring you to your next destination, the romantic city of Rovinj on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. Along the way you’ll stop in Trieste, nestled between Slovenia’s border at the Adriatic coast in northeast Italy. You’ll see many Slovenian, Austro-Hungarian and Italian influences here before continuing to your hotel in Rovinj. Once you’ve checked in, stretch your legs with a stroll along the cobble streets to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia which offers a spectacular panoramic view.
Rovinj (Private Taste of Istria Tour)
Your private driver/guide will pick you up for a flavorful tour through the Tuscany-like region of Istria. You’ll visit Hum, the world’s smallest town and enjoy a tasting of the local jams and brandies, as well as the breathtaking hilltop village of Motovun to sample its famous truffle products, made with rare truffles found in the forest at its base. Enjoy a three-course lunch and taste wines paired with local delicacies at a winery before turning to Rovinj with the evening at your leisure.
Plitvice (Self-guided tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park)
We leave Plitvice Lakes for the historic city of Split. On arrival in Split, join our private guided tour of the city’s Old Town and the iconic UNESCO-listed landmark attraction of Diocletian’s Palace. The former retirement home of the Roman emperor is one of the best-preserved Roman palaces in the world. Admire its many treasures, before climbing to the top of the St. Domnius church bell tower to enjoy spectacular views of the city and its beautiful surrounding islands.
Split (Transfer from Plitvice with a tour of Trogir en-route)
Start the day by exploring the medieval Klis Fortress, which was once used to defend the city of Split against attack from the Mongols and Ottoman Empire. From the top of the ancient fortress you can enjoy impressive views and observe the real-life filming locations of some of the scenes featured in hit TV series Game of Thrones. We continue our tour to an ‘ethno-village’ located just outside the city. Sample the local delicacies and authentic foods on offer and enjoy a friendly welcome. Spend the final part of the day exploring the magnificent UNESCO-protected, preserved town of Trogir.
Split (Culinary Tour)
Meet up with our local gourmet guide for a culinary tour starting at the Green Market. Sample delicious eats while learning about the local foods and then stroll the narrow streets of 4th-century Diocletian’s palace, home to some of the world’s most well-preserved Roman architecture. The buildings now serve as shops, bars, and restaurants – you’ll visit a traditional konoba, trying local specialties like handmade pastas, followed by a small shop to taste soparnik (peasant pie) concluding with gelato and pastries at a pastry shop.
Hvar (Catamaran transfer from Split)
Enjoy a leisurely morning together before catching a catamaran to glamorous Hvar. One of the longest and sunniest islands in Croatia, it famous attracts celebrities and all types of VIPs with its world-class eateries, beach bars and hopping nightlife. Take transfer to your hotel upon arrival and then relax on one of the beautiful beaches or explore the historic center starting at the main square and then climbing to the top of the 16th-century fortress for a view of the harbor, sea and nearby islands.
Hvar (Pakleni Islands speedboat tour)
A speedboat tour through the Pakleni Islands is on your agenda today. The string of emerald gems lies off Hvar’s southwest coast, renowned for their idyllic, secluded beaches that lie in hidden coves. You’ll be surrounded by jaw-dropping scenery as you sip wine, soaking up the sun, with your skipper searching for the ideal place to stop so you can leap into the calm, clear cobalt waters. As you make your way back to Hvar, get your camera ready for the perfect shot.
Dubrovnik (Transfer from Hvar by catamaran)
Bid farewell to Hvar as you venture to your final destination, the so-called “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik is a must for honeymooners in Croatia as one of the most romantic cities, where couples can get lost among the narrow side streets of the Old City, surrounded by medieval walls, discovering awe-inspiring views of the Adriatic along the way. After your arrival, we recommend relaxing on a beach nearby or unwinding around the pool before dining with a sea view.
Dubrovnik (Private Old City Dubrovnik Tour + Sunset Sea Kayaking Group Tour)
An exciting day awaits that begins with a private tour of Dubrovnik’s walled Old City. Our local guide will bring you through the imposing Pile Gate and along the marble paved streets while regaling you with interesting facts about the city’s history. Visit the 1430 Onofrio’s Fountain, providing drinking water for nearly 600 years, spectacular Rector’s Palace and one of Europe’s oldest, still operating pharmacies, founded in 1317. Later this afternoon, join a sunset sea kayaking tour to Lokrum Island.
While your unforgettable adventure comes to an end today, it’s still only the beginning of your love story. After breakfast, you’ll be met by private transfer for the drive to Dubrovnik’s airport to catch your return flight home. If you have the time and want to explore destinations nearby or travel elsewhere, our expert staff will be happy to help.
