Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 Venice: Arrival with afternoon at your leisure

The next chapter in your love story begins in the Italian city built on water. Upon your arrival to Venice Marco Polo Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver for transfer to your hotel. Take time to settle in and get refreshed before enjoying a preview on your own – there are few more romantic places than Venice. Stroll through the cobbled alleyways hand-in-hand, stealing kisses in hidden corners as you discover its delights – we recommend a romantic candlelit dinner this evening.

Day 2 Venice: Private walking tour and gondola ride

This morning you’ll follow our local guide for a private walking tour through the heart of the Floating city to visit landmarks like the world-famous Piazza San Marco which is home to St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace and the famous clock tower, Torre dell’Orologio. Marvel at the Bridge of Sighs and the stone arches of the Ponte di Rialto which has crossed the Grand Canal for over 400 years. End your day with a dreamy gondola ride, taking in the sights from the water.

Day 3 Rovinj: Transfer to Rovinj with a stop in Trieste en-route

Your private driver/guide will bring you to your next destination, the romantic city of Rovinj on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula. Along the way you’ll stop in Trieste, nestled between Slovenia’s border at the Adriatic coast in northeast Italy. You’ll see many Slovenian, Austro-Hungarian and Italian influences here before continuing to your hotel in Rovinj. Once you’ve checked in, stretch your legs with a stroll along the cobble streets to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia which offers a spectacular panoramic view.

Day 4 Rovinj: Private taste of Istria tour

Your private driver/guide will pick you up for a flavorful tour through the Tuscany-like region of Istria. You’ll visit Hum, the world’s smallest town and enjoy a tasting of the local jams and brandies, as well as the breathtaking hilltop village of Motovun to sample its famous truffle products, made with rare truffles found in the forest at its base. Enjoy a three-course lunch and taste wines paired with local delicacies at a winery before turning to Rovinj with the evening at your leisure.

Day 5 Plitvice: Self-guided tour of Plitvice Lakes National Park

After an early breakfast you will depart from Rovinj as our private driver transfers you to your next stop – Plitvice Lakes. Enjoy a light lunch and then set off to explore this magnificent UNESCO listed gem. The park consists of 16 inter-connected lakes which come together to form a seemingly endless number of stunning waterfalls, large and small. Enjoy the afternoon walking through this tropical paradise. After an active afternoon of walking, enjoy an evening staying at the lakes.

Day 6 Split: Transfer from Plitvice with a tour of Trogir en-route

We leave Plitvice Lakes for the historic city of Split. On route to Split, you will stop at the medieval old town of Trogir, a UNESCO listed town on the coast. Trogir often referred to as ‘little Venice’ has a labyrinth of medieval streets and a very picturesque marina. Upon arrival in Split, check into your hotel in the Old Town and enjoy the afternoon exploring the city and its beautiful promenade.

Day 7 Split: Culinary tour

Split

Meet up with our local gourmet guide for a culinary tour starting at the Green Market. Sample delicious eats while learning about the local foods and then stroll the narrow streets of 4th-century Diocletian’s palace, home to some of the world’s most well-preserved Roman architecture. The buildings now serve as shops, bars, and restaurants – you’ll visit a traditional konoba, trying local specialties like handmade pastas, followed by a small shop to taste soparnik (peasant pie) concluding with gelato and pastries at a pastry shop.

Day 8 Hvar: Transfer to Hvar Island with afternoon at your leisure

Enjoy a leisurely morning together before we transfer you to Hvar Island. One of the longest and sunniest islands in Croatia, it famous attracts celebrities and all types of VIPs with its world-class eateries, beach bars and nightlife. Check into your room on arrival and then either relax at the hotels pool or explore the historic center starting at the main square and then climbing to the top of the 16th-century fortress for a view of the harbor, sea and nearby islands.

Day 9 Hvar: Pakleni Islands & Blue Cave speedboat tour

A speedboat tour through the Pakleni Islands and to the stunning Blue Cave is on your agenda today. The string of emerald gems lies off Hvar’s southwest coast, renowned for their idyllic, secluded beaches that lie in hidden coves. You’ll be surrounded by jaw-dropping scenery as you sip wine, soaking up the sun, with your skipper searching for the ideal place to stop so you can leap into the calm, clear cobalt waters. Finish the day enjoy cocktails with a view at the picturesque Palmizana island before returning to Hvar.

Day 10 Hvar: Day of leisure

Enjoy a relaxing day for two today as you get some much needed rest and relaxation after a busy few days. We suggest enjoying a day at the Bonj Les Bains beach club where you have direct access to the crystal clear sea and the perfect place to relax and top up your tan. If you fancy something more active, speak to us about organising a jeep tour of Hvar island with visits to some sought after family run wineries.

Day 11 Dubrovnik: Transfer to Dubrovnik with afternoon at your leisure

Bid farewell to Hvar as you venture to your final destination, the so-called “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Dubrovnik is a must for honeymooners in Croatia as one of the most romantic cities, where couples can get lost among the narrow side streets of the Old City, surrounded by medieval walls, discovering awe-inspiring views of the Adriatic along the way. After your arrival, we recommend relaxing on a beach nearby or unwinding around the pool before venturing into the old town for dinner.

Day 12 Dubrovnik: Private Old City Dubrovnik tour & farewell dinner

An exciting day awaits that begins with a private tour of Dubrovnik’s walled Old City. Our local guide will bring you through the imposing Pile Gate and along the marble paved streets while regaling you with interesting facts about the city’s history. Visit the 1430 Onofrio’s Fountain, providing drinking water for nearly 600 years, spectacular Rector’s Palace and one of Europe’s oldest, still operating pharmacies, founded in 1317.

This evening we have a special farewell dinner planned for you to dine alfresco under the stars, a perfect way to end this romantic trip.
