Traveling on to Hvar, the island is one of the most popular among the nearly 80 off the Dalmatian coast. Continuing to Korcula, best-known as the purported birthplace of international explorer Marco Polo, it boasts a storybook-like walled Old Town that reveals many glimpses of its Venetian past in the architecture that lines the labyrinth of atmospheric streets. After settling into your accommodation, enjoy the picturesque views while strolling the promenade along the outer wall and then find an enticing waterfront café or restaurant hidden among the narrow alleyways for your evening meal.
