Opatija – Rab (B, L)
Our first stop is atmospheric Rab, the ‘island of love.’ One of the greenest islands in the Adriatic, it has a magical aura and an impressive Old Town enclosed by ancient city walls. Join our local guide for an inspirational tour through the stone streets lined with centuries-old facades, witnessing Romanesque church towers, medieval palaces and the 16th-century monastery of St. Justine. Look forward to tasting the native Rab cakes too, a delicious traditional sweet.
Rab – Zadar (B, L)
This morning we’ll continue our cruise to the center of Dalmatia, docking at the intriguing 3,000-year-old walled city of Zadar. You’ll be led by a local guide for a walking tour of some of its most fascinating sights, including Romanesque churches, Roman ruins and medieval architecture, and enjoy a tasting of the city’s sweet authentic cherry Maraschino liquor. Experience the unique Sea Organ which plays tunes created by nature, using the waves through a system of underwater pipes beneath the marble steps as you gaze out at the sunset Alfred Hitchcock once called one of the world’s most stunning.
Plitvice Lakes National Park (B, D)
One of the most popular sights in all of Croatia is on the itinerary today. Set off after breakfast for one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. The Plitvice Lakes National Park has been featured in countless viral posts and travel publications with its 16 terraced aquamarine-colored lakes and seemingly endless travertine falls. Follow our expert guide across the winding wooden pathways and bridges where you’ll be immersed in this lush fantasy-like scene. Return to Zadar and enjoy dinner on board.
Zadar – Losinj (B, L)
Continuing our cruise early this morning, we’ll sail to the picturesque, lush isle of Losinj with its vibrant green landscapes dotted with herbs, wildflowers and pine trees surrounded by crystal-clear azure waters. We’ll stop for a swim that enticing sea before docking in the town of Mali Losinj, home to one of the prettiest harbors in the Adriatic. Discover the delights of this fishing village on a guided tour that will reveal fascinating insights into the island’s history, heritage culture.
Losinj – Cres (B, L)
We’re in no rush today, so relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by a swim before we depart for Cres, sailing through the Kvarner Gulf. The least developed island in Croatia, there’s only a tiny human population and plenty of remote, unspoiled wilderness terrain, along with olive groves and vineyards that makes it ideal for a scenic stroll. After we arrive, you’ll have time to explore its gorgeous beaches, caves, abandoned hamlets and Cres town, where you’ll note glimpses of its storied past throughout. Inhabited since the Palaeolithic era, it’s been touched by the Romans, Byzantines, the first independent Croatians and Venetians.
Cres – Opatija (B, L, D)
We’ll sail early, returning to the starting point of our journey, Opatija. Along the way you’ll have another opportunity for a swim in a serene bay. You might want to capture photos of the beautiful Opatija Riviera as we approach the harbor. Once there, enjoy exploring this former resort town that was reserved for only the higher ranks of society. Visit Villa Angiolina, built in 1844, today it serves as the Museum of Croatian Tourism and features exhibits that reveal its memorable past.
