DAY 1 – ZAGREB (Private guided city tour)

Begin your exciting, fun-packed family vacation in Zagreb, the capital and biggest city in Croatia. DAY 2 – ZAGREB (Trakoscan Castle, Veliki Tabor Castle)

Situated just outside of Zagreb, the impressive castles of Trakošćan and Veliki Tabor offer an interesting, inspiring and educational excursion option. Trakošćan Castle dates to the 13th-century, when it was built for defence purposes for the Zagorje principality. Explore the castle’s grounds, park and forest park with lake, and enjoy a delicious traditional Croatian lunch at a local farm restaurant in the midst of the rolling hills and lush fields. Continue on to Veliki Tabor Castle and admire the twelve different roofs that reflect its 12th-century origins. Return to Zagreb in the afternoon and enjoy an evening at leisure.

DAY 3 – PLITVICE LAKES (Transfer to Plitvice Lakes – waterfalls – boat ride on lakes)

An exhilarating zip-lining adventure across the Korana River and canyon await you this morning. Situated on the edge of the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the Korana River flows for a total length of 138.6 km. Before you slide down the 300 meters long zip-line, reaching a speed of up to 60 km/ph, our professional guides and instructors will teach you everything that you need to know. DAY 5 – SPLIT (Transfer from Plitvice to Split – private guided tour of the old town & Diocletian’s Palace)

On arrival in Split, the second biggest city in Croatia, join our private guided tour of the charming Old Town. DAY 7 – SPLIT (Visit Klis fortress – ethno-village – town of Trogir)

Lodged in the mountains above the city of Split, Klis fortress is an imposing sight. In the past it served as a line of defence from attack by the Mongols and Ottoman Empire. More recently, the majestic landmark has become a set on the hit TV show Game of Thrones. Visit the fortress and imagine yourself transported to the great city-state of Meereen. Continue to the nearby ‘ethno-village’ to learn about Dalmatia’s lifestyle traditions. Sample the authentic flavours of the region and purchase some locally produced foods to enjoy later. The UNESCO-listed medieval island-town of Trogir is our last stop.

DAY 8 – SPLIT (Day of leisure in Split)

Climb up to the top of the Fortica fortress for the best views of Hvar’s gorgeous sun kissed bay and the neighbouring Pakleni Islands archipelago. From the sea level you can enjoy a unique perspective and stunning views of the historic city and its breathtaking surroundings. DAY 14 – DUBROVNIK (Day of leisure – cable car/ day-trip to Montenegro)

Celebrate the last day of your family vacation in the picturesque city of Dubrovnik. Enjoy free time to explore the main attractions and landmarks at your own pace. Visit the art galleries and museums, and take a scenic tour along the old city walls. For the best photo opportunities hop aboard the cable car that takes you to the summit of Srd Mountain. From the panorama restaurant at the top you can enjoy unforgettable spectacular sunset views. Alternatively, a day trip to Croatia’s neighbour, Montenegro offers a unique sightseeing experience.
