Day 1 – Split (Private guided tour of the old town & Diocletian’s Palace)
Welcome to Croatia’s second biggest city, Split. The coastal town is primarily known for its iconic UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace and the beautiful beaches. Our private tour takes you on an exploration of the charming Old Town and the famous 4th century fortress-like palace complex. As you explore the quaint cobbled streets and the sprawling remains of over 200 buildings, learn about Split’s rich history. Visit the Royal Court of Peristyle and the Temple of Jupiter and climb to the top of the St Domnius Church Bell tower for incredible 360-degree views. Stroll along the Riva seaside promenade in the evening.
Day 2 – Split (Canyoning on Cetina River)
We start the day with an adrenaline pumping adventure, and a unique way of exploring and enjoying the region. Our experienced and professional guides are on hand to teach you everything that you need to know to fully enjoy the thrilling experience of canyoning on the Cetina Rver. The expansive Cetina canyon is an important historic and archaeological site that supports adventure tourism. The exhilarating excursion takes you to cliff ledges and deep into underground tunnels. You will need to climb and swim your way through, whilst enjoying the breathtaking scenery of cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes and natural pools.
Day 3 – Hvar (Transfer from Split to Hvar – explore the old town – Fortica Fortress)
Today we venture to the island of Hvar to discover the charms of its beautiful and historic Hvar Town. The cosmopolitan island has long been a popular vacation spot but has always retained its distinctive quirks and appeal. Wander through the labyrinth of quaint cobblestone alleyways and seek out the island’s majestic monuments and landmark attractions. Ascend to the Fortica Fortress for magnificent views of Hvar Island and the surrounding Pakleni Islands archipelago. In the evening, dine in one of the chic local restaurants and sample traditional Croatian cuisine. The town’s lively party vibe brings Hvar to life after dark.
Day 4 – Hvar (Visit the Blue Cave – town of Komiza)
Take advantage and enjoy the sun and the azure sea to its full extent today. Spend the morning exploring the natural phenomena that is the famous Blue Cave (or Blue Grotto), and the nearby Stiniva cove, Green Cave and Monk Seal Cave. The idyllic coves make delightful swim break locations and are perfect places to snorkel and jump from the jutting cliff edges into the cool, crystalline water. A visit to the quaint fishing town of Komiža offers an opportunity to enjoy a leisurely stroll on the sun kissed beach, and to sample the freshly caught and prepared seafood dishes.
Day 5 – Dubrovnik (Transfer from Hvar to Dubrovnik – private guided tour of old town)
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dubrovnik is our final destination of the wonderful Dalmatian tour. On arrival in the historic city, join our guided excursion to the heart of the Old Town. Explore ancient city walls and landmark monuments and visit some of the iconic locations where the hit TV show Game of Thrones was filmed. Walk the marbled streets and gaze up at the medieval architecture that is remarkably well preserved, having survived the Homeland war of the 90s. Visit the Gothic Rector’s Palace and meander along the limestone paved pedestrianised Stradun where everyone likes to hang out.
Day 6 – Dubrovnik (Sea-kayaking to from the city walls to Lokrum Island)
An exciting sea kayaking experience around the old city walls of Dubrovnik awaits you today. Our expert guide and instructor will teach you all that you need to know to safely navigate your way around the turquoise Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a unique perspective from the water and view the massive walls from the other side. You’ll be able to paddle your way to the neighbouring Lokrum Island where you can explore the beauty of its nature reserve. Observe the abundance of endemic wildlife and enjoy a well-earned break in a hidden beach cave that is only accessible from the sea.
Day 7 – Dubrovnik (Day of leisure – cable car/ tour of Montenegro)
Relax and enjoy a free day to do as you please. Explore the historic and cultural highlights of the city in your own pace. For the best views, take a leisure walk along the ancient stone walls that encircle the city. Hop aboard the cable car to the summit of Srd Mountain for one last lingering look over the impressive walled city and its surrounding islands. From the panoramic station, at 412 metres, the vista is spectacular. Alternatively, you can take a tour to Croatia’s neighbouring Balkan country of Montenegro. Explore the city of Kotor and the stunning Kotor Bay.
Day 8 – Departure
After an early breakfast it’s time to check out of the hotel and to take a private transfer to Dubrovnik airport for your departure.
