Dubrovnik old town, Croatia

Head towards Korčula, the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo, also known as ‘The Black Island,’ due to the vast pine forests, that once covered almost the entire island. Surrounded by medieval walls, Korčula resembles a miniature Dubrovnik, and is the only place in the world where the Spanish medieval knight’s game – Moreška is performed. Enjoy a stroll through the tiny streets of the old town, where there are many traditional restaurants known as konobas and cocktail bars.

View of old city from the sea, with city walls and towers, the cathedral, in Korcula, Croatia

Cruise to Metković and take a barge trip to explore the wonderful scenery known for mandarin plantations. Visit Vid archaeological museum Narona as the first ‘in situ’ museum in Croatia exhibiting the remains of a Roman temple – the Augusteum – and 17 colossal marble statues. Discover places where the ancient Illyrians, Greeks, Romans once sailed, and the pirates of Neretva planned their raids of enemy galleys. Learn about the flora and fauna and the diversity of wild birds and the traditional lifestyle of the Neretva people. Enjoy the Captain’s dinner with live entertainment on this fantastic deluxe cruise.

Old fort in Split, Croatia - architecture background, Split, Croatia

From Metković our cruise continues to Split, the UNESCO protected capital of Dalmatian region and the second largest city in Croatia that was once the palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Upon arrival, you will walk through the bustling old town center and vibrant local market.

The cruise continues to Skradin from where we will experience the famous Bibich winery to enjoy wine tasting and lunch followed by exploring national park Krka. We will have the opportunity to visit ‘Skradinski Buk,’ where in 17 falls, with up to 100 meters broad cascades, the Krka rushes 45.7 meters down. Ensure you do not forget to bring your bathing suit! We sail onwards to Šibenik, situated almost at central part of the Croatian Adriatic coast.

Greeting to the Sun, Zadar, Croatia

We proceed to Zadar, the oldest university town in Croatia, well known for its rich historical heritage of world importance. We visit the Roman Forum from the 1st century, St Donat church from the 9th century, the most famous medieval basilica and the symbol of the city and the mighty city walls. We also have an opportunity to wander around the Museum of ancient glass and numerous churches in the old town, many palaces and villas, as well as the famous Sea Organs and “Greeting to the Sun” light installation, on the city’s waterfront, not forgetting the Maraschino liquor tasting.

Rab Island, Korcula

We cruise towards Rab, the ‘island of love’. We take a tour of the town, visiting the medieval walls, Romanesque church towers, churches, palaces, stone streets and ancient facades. We experience the ‘gallery’ on the streets and squares where many painters and artists exhibit their works. We participate in a ‘Rab cake’ demonstration and tasting. According to the legend, the recipe for Rab cake was created by nuns in the monastery when catering to the visiting Pope.  We enjoy the magnificent sunset and a glorious view of Rab and surrounding islands.
