Itinerary
Split (Private guided tour of the old town & Diocletian’s Palace)
Split is Croatia’s second largest city and one of its most treasured places. It’s also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Diocletian’s Palace. Join our private guided tour of the city’s historic Old Town and discover its ancient secrets. Learn about the history as you walk along the streets admiring the magnificent landmarks and monuments. Enjoy a drink in the royal court of Perisyle, climb the St Domnius church bell tower, and explore the Temple of Jupiter. After a complimentary traditional Dalmatian dinner in one of the popular local restaurants, take a stroll along the charming Riva promenade.
Split (Visit Krka Waterfalls National Park & Sibenik)
Venture outside of the city and bask in the beauty of the Krka Waterfalls National Park, and the historic city of Šibenik. Explore the pathways and wooden bridges that wind through the natural wonderland. Admire the Skradinski Buk waterfalls, and swim in Roški Slap. Enjoy lunch in an authentic ´konoba´ before exploring Šibenik and its 1,000 years of history. The city once served as the seat of King Petar Krešimir and became known as Krešimir´s town. It boasts one of the largest Gothic-Renaissance cathedrals in the region and ancient fortifications and towers that are made from Brac and Korcula stone.
Half Day trip to Trogir (Visit the main sites of the old town & beaches)
The medieval island town of Trogir is a remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site that features a well preserved Old Town with many interesting historic architectural structures and landmark buildings. It’s also home to the majestic Kmerlengo Castle and tower, and a wealth of delightful Gothic-Renaissance and Baroque period attractions that date back thousands of years. From the top of the bell tower, of the 13th century Cathedral of St Lawrence, you can enjoy breathtaking views. Trogir is connected to the mainland and Čiovo Island via several bridges. A short walk leads you to the town’s beautiful sun-kissed beaches.
Hvar (Transfer to Hvar – explore the old town)
Today we head out to one of Croatia’s most famous and must-see locations – the wonderful island of Hvar. Hvar Town is set against a backdrop of sun bleached white houses and tranquil turquoise sea and exudes the magical Mediterranean charm of yesteryear. For the best views over the town centre, hike to the top of Fortica Fortress. Explore the island’s maze of meandering streets and the quaint cafes, restaurants and shops selling unique artisan crafts and wonders. Escape to the neighbouring Pakleni islands, or enjoy free evening time relaxing in the welcoming, friendly atmosphere of the jet-set island of Hvar.
Hvar (Visit the Blue Cave & Komiza)
Escape the hustle and bustle of the towns and cities, and dive into the beautiful sea. Today we visit the magnificent Blue Cave (also known as the Blue Grotto) to discover its unique illumination attraction. The nearby Green Cave, Monk Cave and Stiniva Cove offer wonderful swimming opportunities and a chance to relax in spectacular natural scenery. Enjoy a refreshing and rejuvenating swim in peaceful waters or jump off cliff sides and snorkel to your heart’s content. In the afternoon, we visit the little fishing town of Komiža and sample the freshly caught fish at a popular local beachfront restaurant.
Korcula (Explore the old town)
Korčula Island boasts a small, fortified town that sits on the water’s edge looking out over the sea. It’s rumoured to be the birthplace of the world explorer Marco Polo, and offers you an opportunity to walk in the great man’s footsteps. Explore the quaint little alleyways and curious streets that wind around the town centre. Learn about the history of the unique layout of the streets, which protect against wind in winter and increases air circulation in the summer. Stroll along the town’s outer wall promenade and admire the Pelješac Peninsula’s vineyard vistas, where you can also enjoy dinner.
Korcula (Visit the wineries, beaches & oysters by buggy)
We indulge a sense of adventure today as we take you for a tour of the scenic island of Korcula with its maize of vineyards, olive groves and beautiful secluded bays. After breakfast, our guides will meet you for this tour as you embark on this adventure in a fun 2 man buggy and join the rest of the group and set off to explore the island. This is a really fun experience, giving you the opportunity to see the island with a bit of adrenaline thrown in. Stop on route for lunch and swim stops in a couple of very pretty bays.
Dubrovnik (Transfer to Dubrovnik, private guided tour of the old town)
Our final city destination is the UNESCO World Heritage site listed Dubrovnik, which is also affectionately known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, due to its many marble wonders. After arrival at your hotel, join our private guided tour of the Old Town and enjoy a glimpse of the many famous places where the hit TV show Game of Thrones was filmed. The historic medieval city boasts protective defensive walls, majestic palaces and ornate churches. Wherever you look you will discover a unique magical charm and magnificent architecture. Explore the iconic sights and wander through the town at your leisure.
Dubrovnik (Sea Kayaking Adventure)
Discover Dubrovnik and her beautiful city walls from a completely different angle today. Join our guides as they take you for a sea kayaking adventure from the old port in Dubrovnik along the impressive and imposing city walls. Paddle out to a selection of hidden beaches only accessed by kayak, where you will get to stop for swimming and snorkeling breaks. This popular and fun activity is done in 2 man sea kayak’s and is perfect for adventurous couples looking to see a bit more of the beautiful coastline whilst having fun.
Dubrovnik (Experience a traditional home cooking class/ optional Montenegro day trip)
Enjoy your penultimate day in Dubrovnik at your leisure or opt for a day trip to fascinating Montenegro.
Alternatively, join us for a really unique experience. Set off for the beautiful Konavle Region outside of Dubrovnik to learn about Croatian culture first hand through a visit with a local family who can trace their history back over 500 years. Learn how to make a traditional Croatian meal with the matriarchs of the family. This home hosted cooking class is a client favorite and a great way to get a glimpse into how Croatian life over the years and enjoy a delicious meal with heart warming hosts.
Departure
After breakfast the tour comes to an end. Once you have checked out of your hotel you will be transferred to Dubrovnik airport to catch your return flight home.
