Split (Arrival into Split with remainder of the day at leisure)
Begin your adventure in the ancient city of Split, birthed when Roman emperor Diocletian decided to build his retirement residence here around the turn of the 4th-century. Upon your arrival to Split International Airport, you’ll be met by your private driver for transfer to your hotel in the city. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, perhaps strolling through the narrow streets of the palace complex with well-preserved Roman architecture now home to unique shops, galleries, cafes, and wine bars.
Split (Split culinary tour + optional afternoon tour of Trogir)
Meet our local gourmet guide for a culinary/history tour beginning at the Green Market. You’ll enjoy tastings of a variety of local foods before heading to a traditional konoba to try specialties like handmade pastas and fresh seafood. More samples await at small specialty food shops in the palace complex, including soparnik (peasant pie), gelato and pastries. An optional tour of Trogir is possible this afternoon. Connected to the mainland by bridge, it’s home to many impressive baroque, Romanesque and gothic-Renaissance buildings
Split (Krka National Park and Sibenik Tour)
Traveling with your driver/guide, you’ll visit Krka National Park, renowned for its waterfalls, including Skradinski Buk, the longest along the Krka River. Along the way learn about its history and stop en-route for a quick tour of the small town of Skradin. From there, hop in boat, cruising the river to the park’s picturesque trails and walking to a calm pool beneath the falls for a swim. Afterward, tour the thousand-year-old city of Sibenik, including one of the largest gothic-Renaissance cathedrals in the region.
Hvar (transfer to Hvar by catamaran, remainder of the day at leisure)
Leaving Split behind, hop on a catamaran to transfer to Hvar, the island and town famous as one of Croatia’s swankiest destinations, a magnet for the rich and famous with mega-yachts filling the harbor. Hvar Town enjoys a lovely backdrop of glistening white homes while surrounded by clear turquoise water, with its maze of streets lined with interest shops, cafes, restaurants, and historic landmarks. After checking into your hotel, hike to the top of Fortica Fortress for a fabulous view over it all.
Hvar (speedboat tour of Pakleni Islands)
A thrilling day awaits with a speedboat tour to the Pakleni Islands. Get your camera ready to capture a shot of Hvar as it fades away and you’re surrounded by the beauty of these emerald island jewels that are home to idyllic beaches edged by crystal-clear secluded bays in shades of brilliant blue and green. As your skipper searches for the best hidden cove for swimming, sip a glass of wine under the Mediterranean sun and then leap into the enticing water.
Korcula (transfer by catamaran to Korcula, remainder of the day at leisure)
Transfer to your next destination by catamaran this morning. Korcula may be small, but it packs a punch with its lush green forests, sandy beaches, vineyards, olive groves and charming villages, all surrounded by the brilliant blue of the Adriatic. It also hosts a storybook Old Town surrounded by stone walls, towers, rampart and gates. After settling into your accommodation, walk the maze of narrow streets, following in the footsteps of international explorer Marco Polo while taking note of the strong Venetian influence.
Korcula (Taste of Korcula Food & Drink Tour)
Join a Food and Drink Tour that will take you to Lumbarda for an introduction to the top Croatian wines, visiting three different family-run wineries. You’ll get to try the island’s own Grk, made only in Lumbarda, and then enjoy a traditional feast at one of the popular restaurants in the village. The tour is capped off with a scenic stroll through the countryside where you’ll be able to taste olive oils and homemade preserves followed by a crepe-style dessert with locally made liqueur.
Dubrovnik (Transfer to Dubrovnik stopping for an oyster tasting in Ston en-route)
Traveling to the final destination on your itinerary, Dubrovnik, the romantic “Pearl of the Adriatic,” a stop will be made for an oyster tasting in Ston along the way. Ston has become internationally known for its mouthwatering oysters, with their tasty flavor derived from the high salt and mineral content in Mali Ston Bay. After your driver/guide delivers you to your Dubrovnik accommodation, enjoy the evening at your leisure, perhaps a swim in the hotel pool followed by a waterfront dinner.
Dubrovnik (Private Dubrovnik Old City Tour + sunset sea kayaking group tour)
Discover Dubrovnik’s Old City on a private walking tour through the marble paved streets with aristocratic palazzi and elegant baroque churches, following in the footsteps of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor who once enjoyed romantic liaisons here. Later in the afternoon, a sunset sea kayaking tour provides another romantic perspective, including a great view of the city walls while paddling away. You’ll stop at a beach to snorkel or swim before returning just as the sun dips below the Adriatic.
Dubrovnik (Day of Leisure)
You’ll have a full day to enjoy the delights of Dubrovnik, doing whatever you wish, whether you want to just relax and enjoy the scenery from your hotel or explore more of the Old City, perhaps with a walk atop its 1.2-mile-long walls that encircle the historic center. You might ride the cable car to the top of Mount Srd for a bird’s-eye view over the city’s red-tiled rooftops, the sea and nearby islands and then find a perfect candlelit table for dinner.
Before checking out of your hotel, enjoy breakfast and savor those last moments in Dubrovnik. Your private driver will meet you for the transfer to Dubrovnik Airport to catch your flight home, or to your onward local hotel if you’ve decided to extend your journey.
