Built in 4th century, the former palatial retirement home is one of the best-preserved Roman palaces in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the four gates of the Palace, and stroll down the main streets of Cardo and Decumanus. Visit St Domnius Cathedral and enjoy stunning 360-degree panorama vistas of the city from its lofty bell tower. Hop on a boat to Trogir and enjoy the evening at leisure.
SPLIT – KRKA – ŠIBENIK (National Park – waterfalls – explore the ancient city of Sibenik)
Spend the day at the beautiful Krka Waterfalls National Park. Navigate the pathways and wooden bridges that lead you through the magical flora and fauna of Krka River. Marvel at Skradinski Buk waterfall and take a swim in Roški Slap. Optional lunch is served in a traditional Dalmatian ‘konoba’. Explore the ancient city of Šibenik, founded over 1000 years ago. It was once the seat of King Petar Krešimir and has the nickname of ‘Krešimir’s town’. Šibenik boasts one of the largest Gothic-Renaissance cathedrals in the region. St James’s cathedral is constructed from the stone of Korčula and Brač islands.
SPLIT – MOSTAR & MEDJUGORJE (Private guided tour of Bosnia)
Today we cross the border to Mostar in Bosnia, and one of the largest pilgrimage sites in Europe. Medjugorje is the unofficial Catholic pilgrimage site and home to Cross Mountain and the statue of the ‘Queen of Peace’. Explore Mostar’s famous historic landmark, the Old Bridge of Mostar, a 16th century mosque, and Biscevica House, a traditional Ottoman house and harem. Visit the 15th century UNESCO-listed village of Pocitelj and the beautiful attraction of Kravice waterfalls, where you can have a picnic and swim. Return to Split in the early evening to enjoy free time to do as you please.
HVAR (Transfer to Hvar – private guided tour of the old town – fortress)
Hvar Island is one of the most popular destinations in Croatia. It flaunts brilliant turquoise waters, amazing gastronomic delights and picturesque villages. Upon arrival, join our private guided tour of Hvar Old Town. Learn about the history of one of the oldest towns in Croatia. Explore St Stephen’s square, the largest sea-facing square on the coast, and admire the public theatre that was originally built in 16th century. In the evening, after gourmet dinner in one of the local restaurants, take a hike to Fortica fortress to enjoy a spectacular view of Hvar Bay and the neighbouring Pakleni islands archipelago.
HVAR (Private guided tour of Hvar Island)
Discover the abandoned and forgotten villages of Hvar Island. Your exploration begins in the quaint villages of Malo and Velo Grablje that were abandoned by its residents several decades ago in favour of the seaside village of Milna. Follow in the footsteps of past generations and explore the stone-made villages. Enjoy refreshments at a remote farm restaurant offering stunning sea views. From St Nicholas’s peak, view the islands of Brac, Korcula and Vis. Visit Stari Grad and admire the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain. Lunch is served in the eco-village of Humac, before relaxing on the beautiful Soline beach in Vrboska.
KORČULA (Transfer from Hvar to Korcula – explore the ancient town)
Regarded by many as the birthplace of the famous world explorer Marco Polo, Korčula Town is small and fortified, and was once ruled by the Venetians. It boasts an ingenious street layout that is designed in the shape of a fishbone. The design prevents the strong winds from chilling the houses in winter and increases the circulation of air in the balmy summer. Wander through the ancient fortified town and walk along the protective outer walls that now serve as a scenic promenade. From this excellent vantage point you can enjoy breathtaking stunning views of the Pelješac Peninsula’s lush vineyards.
KORČULA (Explore the historic attractions – boat to Badija Island – Wine & Oyster tasting tour)
Enjoy a day of leisure in Korčula. Explore the landmark attractions and historic sights of the town at your own pace, or alternatively take a boat to neighboring Badija Island, for a relaxing time swimming and sunbathing. The unpopulated island of Badija is the largest of the islands situated in the Skoji archipelago. Our optional wine and oyster tasting tour on Korčula or the Pelješac Peninsula offers an authentic taste of Croatia. Sample the delicious fine red and white wines that are locally produced in the region, and fresh oysters that are considered to be the best in the world.
DUBROVNIK (Transfer from Korcula to Dubrovnik – explore the old town – walk the city walls)
Complete your heritage tour in the ‘Pearl of Adriatic’. The city of Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful UNESCO-listed destinations in the world. Explore marbled streets, imposing medieval architecture, huge defensive walls, and ornate churches and palaces. Take a stroll down the Stradun, the widest and longest street in the Old Town, and the place where everyone goes to meet, and people watch. Visit the city gates (Pile, Ploče or Buža) and admire Onofrio’s fountain, Orlando’s statue and St Blaise’s Church. To enjoy the best views of Dubrovnik and surroundings, walk along the top of the Old city walls.
DUBROVNIK (Day trip to Montenegro – cable car in Dubrovnik by night)
Explore Croatia’s up-and-coming neighbour Montenegro. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor was built between the 12th and 14th centuries by the Romans and early Christians. The city is protected by medieval stone walls that extend over 4 km to the fortress of St Ivan. Take a short boat ride from the medieval town of Perast to one of the two tiny islets situated in beautiful Kotor Bay. Visit the Church of Our Lady of the Rocks, before returning to Dubrovnik in the afternoon. In the evening, ride the cable car up Srd Mountain and enjoy magnificent panoramic sunset views.
DUBROVNIK (Day of leisure – Visit Lokrum Island – Trip to Mostar in Bosnia – Sail the Elaphite Islands)
Enjoy free time in Dubrovnik, relaxing, sightseeing and shopping. Explore the historic attractions in the Old Town and shop for last minute souvenirs. Alternatively, visit the beautiful nature reserve on the island of Lokrum, situated just a short boat ride away. On the island, explore the 12th century monastery and watch peacocks and wild bunnies frolicking in the surrounding grounds. Lokrum’s wild beaches and enticing pristine turquoise waters provide an idyllic relaxation retreat.
