Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 Split
Check-in is from 2pm this afternoon. Private transfers from Split airport or your Split hotel will be arranged for you, and should you be arriving earlier in the morning you are welcome to leave your luggage on-board to explore the city independently prior to check-in.
Once check-in is complete, you’ll be taken back ashore for a guided tour of historic Split. Its atmospheric center is dominated by UNESCO-protected Diocletian’s Palace, built as accommodation quarters by a Roman emperor of the same name, and later subsumed by the medieval and contemporary city.
Return to the ship in the late afternoon for a welcome cocktail reception, during which you’ll meet the captain and his crew. A welcome dinner and party follows. Overnight in Split.

Day 2 Korčula
After breakfast we set sail from Split, making for the alluring island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. The morning is spent sailing, stopping for a scenic lunch in one of the secluded bays en route.
Arrive into Korčula early afternoon, and come ashore for a guided walking tour of its enchanting Old Town, taking in the herringbone streets which cut through and fortified walls that surround.
In the evening you are at leisure to sample an abundant choice of restaurants available in Korčula Old Town. Should you wish, there are also many bars and clubs to continue the party into the evening. Overnight in Korčula.

Day 3 Mljet and Dubrovnik
The following morning sees us continue south to the island of Mljet. Our cruise director will lead an excursion through beautiful Mljet National Park, famous for its striking salt lakes and boat rides across to St Mary Isle, where you’ll find an ancient Benedictine monastery that dates back to the 12th Century.
Lunch is back on-board the ship, after which we depart for Dubrovnik. Arrive in the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ in the late afternoon, and enjoy a sunset cruise around its magnificent City Walls. A buffet dinner is served on board, during which you can enjoy spectacular views of the historic town. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 4 Dubrovnik
After breakfast onboard you’ll head into the Old Town for an expert-led walking tour. Stroll through its magical streets, with ample photography opportunities en route, before boarding a cable car up to the peak of Mount Srd, overlooking Dubrovnik. From the summit you’ll enjoy fantastic views of the historic City Walls and the low-lying Elaphiti Islands just offshore.
The afternoon is then free for you to enjoy the Old Town at your leisure. Walk the famous 1,940m city walls, stop for a coffee or cocktail in one of the many trendy piazzas, or stroll along Stradun, an airy promenade within the walls which is part square and part street.
Lunch and dinner are on your own account today; ask the crew or cruise director for their favorite spots in the city. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day 5 Pelješac Peninsula
Today you’ll concentrate on the Pelješac peninsula, a slender and scenic section of the coast that produces Croatia’s best red wines, Dingač and Postup. On the way, you’ll call in at one of the Elaphiti Islands, before arriving in Pelješac early afternoon.
Come inland to explore its alluring rural scenery. A visit will be taken to a local farm, where you’ll enjoy a typical village party which includes a hearty dinner showcasing a range of locally-produced delicacies. Transfer back to the ship late evening. Overnight on Pelješac peninsula.

Day 6 Hvar
This morning we continue to the fashionable island of Hvar. Mid-sailing we’ll stop for lunch at the small island of Šćedro, then later make a swim stop at the paradise-like Pakleni Islands. Arrive into Hvar mid-afternoon.
Hvar gets more sunshine than any other point in Croatia, and is known for its carpet of lavender fields and rugged natural beauty. The island has many historical landmarks including a historic Rennaissance cathedral, and a community threatre which dates back to 1612. At night Hvar really comes alive, with an abundance of elegant restaurants and lively beach bars which keep the party going long into the night. Overnight in Hvar.

Day 7 Bol and Milna or Pučišća
A short sailing this morning takes us to the neighboring island of Brac. Brac’s central town is picturesque Bol, a typical fisherman’s town now enjoying a second life as an atmospheric tourist town. Just outside the town you’ll find magnificent Zlatni Rat: also known as the Golden Cape, this is the most famous beach in Croatia, known for its striking gravel promontory which is constantly shifting from side to side under wind and wave.
Lunch is taken on board, after which you have some at leisure, and then later in the afternoon you’ll enjoy a tasting session of local wines. In the early evening we depart for Milna or Pučišća while enjoying the Captain’s farewell dinner on-board, accompanied by live entertainment. Overnight in Milna or Pučišća.

Day 8 Departure
The ship sets off early this morning to make its return to Split. You’ll enjoy one last lavish breakfast on board, before its time to say goodbye to the crew and your new friends as you part ways back in Split. Transfers are included back to Split airport, or to your city hotel.

The Avangard is a 49m (161 ft) long, 8.8 m (28 ft) wide deluxe ship, with a cruising speed of nine nautical miles per hour. It features the latest state-of-the-art equipment and amenities. It has a maximum capacity of 36 passengers in 18 twin or double cabins, ensuring exceptional personal service.
